The oceans represent over 95% of Earth’s biosphere, supporting life and regulating climate. Yet more than 80% of these water worlds remain unmapped and unexplored. Coastal habitats on the boundary of land and sea are guardians of the coasts and preservers of ocean health. Despite their importance, we are not treating these essential ecosystems very well. How can we do better?

Sign up for Marine Matters to explore the wonders of marine and coastal ecosystems, uncover the threats they face, and understand our role. Dive in to find out how we can take action and become a Wavemaker—someone who takes action to protect our blue planet.
